The idea that when your back is turned
you are still beautiful,
that when you’re not performing,
you are still desirable,
that on your daily commute,
half full and the world still out of focus
you are still lovable to someone,
that when you wake in the morning,
eye crust and moist breath,
toothpaste stained t-shirt,
matted hair,
you are still desirable to someone,
that even with your back turned
your head down
your skin unlotioned
your posture deflated,
you are still wanted,
that even when you feel you have nothing to give
there is still someone who still wants you around.
